Realistic Position.

Tomorrow, everybody dies.
Yes, not extremely likely. But imagine it.

Imagine that some intelligent life comes to earth. Sees everything wrecked.
And makes inferences and educated guesses (just as we might've done had it been us.)

Now, imagine. You are a becoming an exhibit in a museum.
They are going to put you in a "realistic position" or doing some sort of activity.

Whats your realistic position? What would you be doing or saying or anything?
Think about how much you do said activity. How big a part of your life it is.
Now try and think for a moment, what your life and you would be like without that
item/activity? Post your answers and then I'll post mine.

I'd either want to be sitting down, with big headphones on, and a Beck album at my side, or, I'd want to be in the clothes I wear when I play concerts, with a guitar, rocking out (maybe mid-head bang or something).

Both of these things are huge in my life-- Without Beck's music I might never have gotten so into wanting to be a musician myself. A lot of my views would be different and I don't even know what genre would be my favorite, since his covers so many that it's given me a huge acceptance of a lot of different types of music.

That said, without performing the songs that I write for people, I don't know where I could find those feelings that I get from playing shows. Standing up in front of people, playing a song that you wrote yourself, and having them respond to it with hand claps, cheers, and comments afterwards, feels incredible-- to know that you could create something, present it in front of people and have them connect with it in some way big or small. It's my favorite thing to do, and it also is something that keeps me off doing drugs or drinking all the time: I have a goal, a purpose, that I want to fulfill with my life and since I'm working hard for it I don't want anything to cloud my mind and get in my way.

I would probably be a completely different person if it wasn't for my dream of becoming a musician. I can't imagine having any other dreams or goals that I'd be as dedicated to, and so I'd probably do a lot more stupid things without thinking about them.
